Amy Lewis is a first year MFA candidate here at CCAD. She is a native of the east coast, but has lived in Ohio for years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University where she studied fine art with an emphasis on ceramics. She works with both ceramics and metals. Her work is centered on the reversal of roles and concepts of the materials used Her art encourages the viewer to rethink their concepts of material use.
She hopes to gain experience in the creation and understanding of art here at CCAD. She eventually would like to become a professor at a college or university.
