Arrel (2010) By Joe Fyfe
ARTIST AND CRITIC JOE FYFE will be giving a speech at Canzani Center Auditorium on Thursday October 24th at 6:30.
Joe Fyfe, a resident of New York City and a visiting artist professor at Pratt, is well known for his highly simplistic and abstract paintings. He prides himself on the limited color pallet of his works, usually only using a handful of colors in each painting. His pieces, painted on burlap and other fabrics, are “deceptively simple”.
Joe’s pieces are also on show at Canzani Gallery for “My Crippled Friend”, an exhibition that will be in the gallery through January 10th 2014.
