Carmen Winant’s review of the Colter Jacobsen Exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego

Assistant Professor of Visual Studies and Contemporary Art History Carmen Winant’s recent article on Artforum describes the account of Colter Jacobsen at the MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART SAN DIEGO, October 10th–February 8th.

“. . .On found paper, he draws one version of a found photograph while looking at it and a second version from recall. The two are then paired side by side, with the reference-blind drawing watered down in its details neatly referencing the degenerative process of cognitive recollection. . .”
